Scott and I were able to get away for our 15 year wedding anniversary. We dropped the kids off in Cedar City with grandma and grandpa and continued on to Las Vegas for 3 nights.
Freedom!
After checking in to the Luxor, we enjoyed a nice dinner buffet.
And kicked off our celebration by going to Criss Angel's magic show. He was sooooo amazing! He was doing all sorts of mind blowing magic. You are not allowed to take any pictures or photographs during the show, so this is all we have. Both of our favorite tricks he did was walk on a ladder sideways. Imagine his body parallel to the ground as he walks from the top of the ladder to the ground. Totally amazing; would go again!
We told the front desk it was our 15th anniversary, so they upgraded our room to the very top floor (30th) and right in the middle of the pyramid, for a dazzling view.
The next morning we checked out Fremont street and posed with 1 million dollars.
Headed to the Pinball Hall of Fame. Great place, you play as many arcades as you want. Most are one to two quarters each.
Two of my memorable games were the vertical pinball machine and the Peppy the puppet clown one.
We caught a paranormal mind reading show with Frederic Da Silva. He can sense numbers, words, or cards. He was pretty good at what he did. Scott helped with a card trick.
Visited the famous Pawn Stars shop.
And ate some delicious flan.
That evening, we saw a comedy show by Carrot Top. It was very funny and relevant. The best was when he kept playing, "And I would walk 500 miles" as he compared it to walking anywhere in Vegas. No photos were allowed during the show here.
The next day we toured the Titanic museum. That was neat! No photos were allowed inside. There was a glacier to touch that took up a whole room, plus lots of recovered artifacts, and interesting stories. Also, a huge piece of the boat was recovered. So large, that they took the roof off of the Luxor pyramid to lower it down to the museum. Worth going to! We also toured the Bodies exhibit, but for some reason, failed to snap a photo. No cameras were allowed inside anyway. It was okay; not as good as the Titanic display.
We got passes to ride the New York Rollercoaster all day. Let me tell you, that ride beats you up! After one ride, we were wondering if we wanted to go again. To get our money's worth, we ended up going a total of 4 times during the day. We felt whiplashed and would not do this again!
Ate some delicious buffet food.
We were excited to see a Cirque Du Soleil show called Ka. No photos were allowed during it. The show was a big let down. Lots of people left at intermission. We couldn't bear the thought of wasting our money to leave, but it was that bad. We stayed. The script was confusing, didn't make sense, and they didn't even use this beautiful side stage they built. Avoid this show.
On our final day, we looked at the pretty gardens in the Bellagio. Can you believe they put fresh roses on display daily? Yes, daily!
I love this place. I always insist on visiting the garden.
Walked through a mall to see the mythical Greek show.

Nathan Burton's magic show was pretty good. And we had great seats on the second row!
Happy 15th anniversary to us! So glad we were able to celebrate! Thanks to Scott's parents and sister for helping us watch the kids.
