This was the first time to survive girls camp for the ENTIRE time since I was a Laurel 20 years ago. Armed with dry shampoo, sunscreen, bug spray, deodorant, scriptures, journal, and a good attitude: camp was pretty good for all 5 days.
Our theme was 'Ohana' which means 'Family' in Hawaiian. We stuck together for meals and emphasized the importance of supporting each other. Our Stake YW Presidency: Me, Mary, Renae, and Julie.

The YCLs (Youth Camp Leaders), plus Jenny (far left), Jill, and Camila (both far right) led the way. My favorite YCL was Kate (3rd from left). She and I ran the water coloring workshop both days. She is talented plus fun-loving!
Julie, myself, and Renae hiked around one day and chatted. Such a beautiful place to do that. We also had to give talks one night. I talked on ways to feel the Holy Ghost, such as taking a break from social media, turning music down, and focusing on scriptures, praying, and serving.
Some funnies about camp- The youth leaders put some silly signs up. Also, one ward brought up this huge stuffed animal. It was at DI for $60. They explained that they only wanted it for girls camp. The checker took down the leader's name and number and let them 'rent' it for $30 with the promise of bringing it back to DI after. :)

The last night we got to dress up as women of the Bible. I got to be Mary, the mother of Jesus. It was a nice opportunity help. There was a candle walk where we got to learn about the different women of old. All in all, camp was wonderful. I look forward to bumping into my 'Ohana' around town.
