October 2018

The kids got back their school pictures!

Aunt Karen passed away.  Her husband, Ron, is Marv's only brother.  Karen liked to travel, play Farmville, and spend time with her family.  I remember attending her sealing to Ron in the brand new Brigham City Temple. Last picture is Marv, Lisa, and Ron. Her funeral was October 2nd.

The boys played at the funeral for bit and Gizmo snuggled.

Frightmares opened!

Mixed slime and built a boat at Home Depot.  I can never get my kids to go to these things anymore!

Renewed our pass to the Rec Center.

Witch hunted at Gardner Village.

Had a great time at Wheeler Farm's spookfest.

Made cookies plus went to Scary Hill a few times, including with Grandpa and Grandma.

Trick or treated at a parking lot.

Checked out Frightmares a few more times.  Also went to their Seance show, which was pretty hokey and silly too.

I took charge of Reflections this year.  This was a huge undertaking and a lot of stress.  Next year, I must delegate more.  Then it will be better for my mental health.  From making posters, to finding judges, to sorting artwork, to making a slideshow video of the winners, to ordering trophies and getting them, to making certificates, to calling parents, to running the assembly; yes- it was stressful!

Went to the ward Halloween party.  Scott and I used the blow up costumes.  The boys were army dudes and Makayla was a day of the dead girl.  Neighbor Nick joined us.

Played at an awesome new Nickelmania in West Jordan.

This super child earned Bruin of the week for being engaged and respectful at school.

Ended the month with parades and trick or treating.  And the pretty leaves changed.  What a month!
