Sterling requested that we go to Boondocks for his birthday celebration.

Grandpa Marv and Grandma Vickie joined us.

We had a lot of fun!  And my pics from my phone have disappeared. Boo!  So we will have to only use Scott's.  Anyhow, we love our Sterling. He is the most huggable kid and he always tells us he loves us.  He is the best at snuggling the cats and is very gentle and thoughtful with them.  If only we could get him to exhibit those behaviors with the rest of us. Ha! Happy 10th Bithday Sterling Boy!

Fish Lake 2019

Headed to Fish Lake right after school got out.  My parents met us there a few days later.

 Day 1
Went out for breakfast and checked out the Lodge.

Then the kids went on a looong bike ride.  We calculated it to be about 9 miles! Scott and I followed in the suv to be their pit crew.

Day 2
Had a lovely time exploring different views of the lake.  Plus we found cows and Makayla found a butterfly.

Found a spring in the road then went home and made poor boy dinners, yum! My parents made it and within the first 20 minutes my mom's arm/shoulder was injured.  She went on her bike with the kids and she slipped on gravel and dislocated her shoulder.  She ended up going to the ER in Richfield.  Poor mom didn't get home til probably 1am.

Day 3
Headed to Capitol Reef and this was a great day!

Went on a little hike.

Found an interesting tree.  One half was touching a stream and the other half was not.  Only half of the tree was truly nourished.  We could compare this to holding to the iron rod.  Stay on the path and you will be blessed and truly alive.  Fall away and you wither and struggle with life.

Day 4
Went fishing for a good chunk of the day on a rented pontoon boat.

After a lunch break, went back out and finally caught some fish. My dad caught 2 and then Sterling and I caught 1 each.  Then Scott and Makayla made an upside down pineapple cake.

Day 5
Went river and shore fishing then came home and played games.

Day 6
We packed up and left for home.  Fun times besides Grandma's shoulder injury.  At least she did not need surgery. She was able to heal on her own.  We love family and Fish Lake :)
