My Kids' Perspective

The Mother's Day walls at church were adorned with heartfelt notes and sketches of the primary children's moms.  Here are mine.

"My mom has blonde hair and blue eyes.  She likes to spend time with family.  She is good at reading.  If she had a million dollars, she would buy a nice house.  She washes my clothes and entertains me.  I like to help my mom by giving her a card.  I like to practice the piano with her.  She is really good at making green bean casserole and meatloaf.  Her favorite color is blue.  I would like to give her a necklace.  I love everything she does!" ~Makayla

"My mom's favorite color is blue.  She is 36 years old.  She has blonde hair and blue eyes.  She likes to go to Lagoon.  She is really good at cooking food, especially macaroni and cheese.  I can help her by loving her.  I like to go to Cherry Hill with her.  If she had a million dollars, she would spend it on me.  If I could give her any present, I would give her a freeze dryer.  I love her because she helps me and she's nice to me and everything." ~Sterling

"My mom likes to go on roller coasters.  She is good at drawing.  She is 39 years old and has blonde hair and blue eyes.  If she had a million dollars, she would buy a big house.  She does laundry and cooks food.  I can help her clean.  She is really good at making cookies.  Her favorite color is blue.  If I could giver her any present, I would give her flowers.  I love her because she helps me." ~Lincoln

An honest view from my kids.  Makayla's drawing was pretty close!  I admit I am not the greatest cook.  Lincoln thinks I am 39, but I will take that.  The important thing is that my kids know that I love them.  They are good kids. I feel very lucky to be their mom.  I am so blessed to have the opportunity to be a mom.

Made some candy art with Grandma Diane at the library.

My parents paid half of our passes to Cherry Hill.  They chose to do that for everyone so we can spend time together this summer. Thanks to them!   Shot some balls in the foam room.

 Climbed the wall.

Jumped.

 Ball pit.

Look closely. Can you see her?

There she is!

The maze.

 Mini golfed.

Looked over and noticed Wendy and Dan, who were on a date!

Ready for the city egg hunt.

 Divided by ages.

 Ready, set, go!

Good thing we chose a meeting place after!

 The loot!

Went to Grandma Bjarnson's egg hunt too.

The Easter bunny came.

The day was nice and we relaxed after church.

Rosco basked in the sun.

Headed back to Cherry Hill and mini golfed.

And climbed the wall again.

Little Miss needed a haircut.

Before.

After.

Finished "Where the Red Fern Grows" and started "The Borrowers".

Caught some sunshine at Lagoon!

Went on a rainy field trip with Makayla's class to Heritage Park.

Saw some cute quail in our yard.

Makayla made a pillow at the quilting club.

She has participated for a few months so far.

Headed to the Viridian Center for a picnic.

And had a good time at the fiesta party.
