Sterling is 9 !

Sterling had a birthday party with some friends: Dane, Nick, and Brinton.  They had a big Nerf gun war and played arcade games.

Dane made him a creative sign.

He got some surprises.  His main gift was a PS Vita (not pictured). It's a PlayStation brand Gameboy.

We went to Dave and Busters to celebrate.

They have state of the art cool games there.

We got dinner there and turned in our tickets for prizes.  The boys got remote control cars and Makayla got a big unicorn squishie pillow.

Things I admire about Sterling:

  • He is so gentle with our cats. So soft and protective and loving with them.
  • Very creative!  He will make random airplanes, cars, and boats and play with them.
  • Such an improved reader.  This last year he's made leaps and bounds with his reading and can read about anything.
  • Also his handwriting and spelling have improved a great deal.  His handwriting is much more legible now.
  • Imaginative! Sometimes when I clean the house, he pretends he's a dump truck and zips around and helps me put away anything in his path.
  • Business minded.  Likes to sell and trade things to people.  Wants to own a business one day.
  • Fast!  This kid can run and has so much energy.  He can run faster than all of us.
  • Good at skating.  Really smooth at rollerblading. He can even make a quick circle backwards to stop, which makes me cringe.
  • Kind.  Even when the annoying neighbor comes over, he's willing to give him time.
  • Into Roblox.  It's an online world where you build things and play mini games for money.  He lives and breathes this game.  So does his brother.
When Sterling was little, he looked at me with his big blue eyes one day and asked, "Mom, is I a good boy?"  Yes, Sterling, you are a good boy.  I hope you always stay that way.  Stay close to the church and your family and you will be just fine.  You are awesome and we love you Sterling boy!

May 2018

Heritage Park kicked off our month with fun animals and the train show.

Stopped at the Nickelmania in Springville.

Sweet Christie's funeral was on May 5th.

These boys made the most of their time.  Lol!

We love our awesome Christie.  I hope she is always close by.

Vickie with her brothers; Bob and Mike.

Watched a Clark Show.

Rode the new and improved white rollercoaster.

Played the ball toss in honor of Christie, who won a huge stuffed animal at this game. We failed.

Was spoiled and loved on Mother's Day.  Best holiday!!

Went with Mike and Emiliya to a funny play, 'Jurassic Park City'.  Also passed the 2s on my van.

The kids sold goods at their first Entrepreneurial Kids Market this year.  They did well. After all expenses, they made $30 each.

The kids helped with cousin Braden's wedding reception at Wheeler Farm. I love Grandma!

Got passports photos for our upcoming cruise adventure! Also, had a picnic with the family in Layton.

Praying mantises hatched! So we let them go and sprinkled them around the yard.

Had a great time on Lincoln's field trip to HeeHaw Farms.

Ended the month with the Egg Drop.  Everyone loves this event.  All 3 kids succeeded in keeping the egg intact and uncracked.
