We kicked off this month with a neighborhood preschool field trip to Heritage Park.
First we got a trolley tour of the park.
Then we got to do chores. The boys practiced skills for milking a cow and cleaning rugs.
Then we played with the animals in the petting zoo.
All of the preschool kids gathered.
Then at the end of the month, we had farewell preschool party at our home.
We went to a nice Mother's Day brunch at Grandma Bjarnson's new place.
My Mother's Day was wonderful! The kids made me this thoughtful poster. They also made me cute cards that said what I am best at doing.
I know I need to do more playtime with you, cute son.
It never gets all done, but thanks for noticing, sweet son.

I was spoiled by them and Scott!
Then we enjoyed dinner with my parents and Grandma Hebdon.
Went to a bird show at the library.
The kids like to make me play dough food treats because I buy them with real coins.
Sterling loves riding through puddles on walks around the block.
True story. Right after I snapped this picture, Sterling circled around and fell down in this puddle and had mud all over his clothes and face, even in his ears! We went home and he quickly took a bath and changed clothes before afternoon kindergarten.
I guess lounging on wiggle cars is comfortable. Who knew?
Had a family night at the movies, "Mall Cop 2."
And these two had a dance-off at the arcade.
A memorable thing we did was attend the Payson Temple open house. It was just awesome! We went with some friends from church.
I volunteered in Sterling's classroom on Fridays. I liked having a bird's eye view of how he behaves and how he is treated. He did fine overall.
Sometimes I would bring Lincoln to volunteer. I got a kick out of them dancing for part of a P.E. game. I love when they are getting along!
Scott has been on a cooking desserts kick lately. From popcorn balls, to lemon pie, to cupcakes, to oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. A new talent in the making?
Sterling earned student of the month for showing courage. The certificate says, "Sterling is courageous, never gives up, and always does his best work. Sterling has a positive attitude and is always smiling. Thank you for your willingness to help the class, for being a good friend to our new students, and being a great leader." Wow, Sterling! Good work!
And this Little Missy was mighty impressive too!
She participated in the Road to Success reading program online. Basically, you log your home reading minutes and rate the books you read. 3 classes are chosen from a random online spinner to be finalists. Then one person out of each class won the grand prize. 3 winners total from her whole school were chosen. And Makayla was a winner!! She earned a certificate to pick out a bike, scooter, or Ipod shuffle at Walmart. She chose the Ipod. And I downloaded some songs for her and she is looking really grown up with earbuds and all. Nice work Makayla!
Lincoln graduated Bengal Paw Preschool. A favorite part was when Mrs. Hardman announced that Lincoln's dream would be to have a swimming pool full of cats when he grows up. I asked him about it later, and he of course wants the cats living, and just wanted "a little bit of water" in the pool. Silly boy! What an idea!
And we concluded the month with visiting cemetaries of our grandparents with cousins.
