Lincoln is 10!

Lincoln is our big 10 year old! He hates mornings, but once he gets moving, he is fine.  He loves computer games, the cats, ice cream, swimming, amusement rides, and adventures outside.  He has a positive attitude and looks at the glass as half full instead of half empty.  We hope that he is always an optimist. We are glad he is in our family.  Everyone needs a Lincoln!

Lincoln hoped for some laser lights for his room and some surprises.  He likes things with buttons that make noises or lights. 

We went mini golfing with Grandpa Marv and Grandma Vickie.  Then we ate at Black Bear Diner for dinner. 

Lincoln had a party with some new friends at school. Kasen, twins Bradley & Brogan, and Vance. Lincoln, we love you!

Makayla is 14!

Makayla is our sparkly girl who loves friends, volleyball, plants, and outdoors.  She can have fun wherever and with whoever.  She has the light of the gospel and that is what gives her the spark she has.  We are happy to have Makayla as our oldest child.  She is a good leader and a great student.  She pulls straight As and works diligently on her school projects. She makes sure she gets to volleyball practice on time.  She is good at helping clean her room and the house.  She is kind to the cats. She is a keeper! 

Makayla wanted a friend party.  We are still meeting people, but she managed to get some friends to attend. They ate pizza and played games. Quaden (Kaden), Chloe, Shay ,Tiffany, Olivia, & Clara.

The next day was Makayla's actual birthday.  She wanted a new cell phone, so we got her a Samsung android one. 

Us girls got pedicures and manicures.  Then we ate at Olive Garden for Makayla's dinner.

Lucky Makayla got to see her friends about a week later because she had a braces appointment in Salt Lake.  She hung out with Lizzy, and visited Abby and Caroline.  She has lots of good friends. Lizzy is her best friend.  We love our Makayla! Happy 14th Birthday!

Took the boys to an indoor playground.

Scott had his 41st birthday. We sure love him. He works really hard for us.  He celebrated with dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  Aunt Lisa gave him some funny Trump gifts.

The cats brought joy along with the fish.

Scott was surprised when Makayla found a twin egg!

We had a nice Valentine's Day and Sterling really enjoyed the fondue dinner. We got a new blender for our gift to each other.

We were happy to spend the day with the Perkins cousins.

We headed on day dates to the Parade of Homes and enjoyed looking at the new homes.  Going to this event gave us perspective that we are happy with the price we got on our place. 

Smoked some drumsticks and trees blossomed.

We had a decent hike up the Chuckwalla trail.

Makayla broke her phone, so we updated it.  Then took naps.

Makayla made a cutting board and the first flowers bloomed this year.

Cousin Abel was blessed.  We were able to watch through zoom which was nice.

Passed 34k on the van while headed to a braces appointment, and lucky Makayla got to see some friends- Abby, Caroline, and Lizzy.
