We took a pause from work and school to go play in California the week of February 3rd.
Day 1
Our flight left at 6am!We headed right to Sea World and rode the tower and checked out the view.
We sat in the splash zone at the dolphin show and got soaked!
Such a fun day!
Day 2
Found the beautiful San Diego Temple.
Then it was back to Sea World again.
Feeding the flamingos was a highlight for all of us. Such a unique experience as they nibbled right out of our hands.
Saw some animals and the sea lion show.
Went on a fun rollercoaster!
Gazed at a cool turtle.
Went on the skyride.
And fed some manta rays. A bird snatched one of Makayla's fish.
Watched a beluga whale.
And wrapped up Sea World with a spa treatment where the fish tickle you by eating your dead skin.
Visited Ocean Beach.
Day 3
We went to Six Flags!
One of the best things we did was buy meal and snack passes for everyone. These two enjoyed some Dippin' Dots.
And we went back to our rental house and swam. Kayla slept very well.
Day 4
We played at Universal Studios.
Found some Minions and got some photos.
Saw Frankenstein and Doc and then the cool Waterworld Show.
Day 5
Saw some high views from the Lex Luthor Drop.
Grabbed some Dole Whips after our other favorite ride: Superman.
Played on the new ride, Battle for Metropolis: Justice League.
Then enjoyed a nice swim at our rental house.
Day 6
Headed back to Universal Studios. Enjoyed some frozen ButterBeers.
Rode the Jurrasic Park ride.
Hung out with Krusty the Clown.
Saw Waterworld again and finished with a Studio Tour.
Headed to Six Flags again!
The boys blasted balls.
Won some hats and capes and had a great night.
Ended the night with some donuts.
Day 8
Headed back to Six Flags in the morning.
Then had a very relaxing day swimming at the house.
Day 9
Grabbed some lunch and said goodbye to Six Flags.
Headed to a children's museum in LA.
Such a fun time! From a shopping game, to climbing, to recycling, to exploring; there was something for everyone.
