Fun month! Maisy was in town for half of the month, so we had to take advantage of that! We did some more things together like Jungle Jims, The Leonardo Museum, Splashpad, and fireworks, barbecues, 3D movie, besides hanging out. 

On the 4th of July, we took the kids to the Murray Parade. They had such a great time that I think since we have done it 2 years in a row, it's now a tradition. We also went to the Butlerville parade on the 24th.

 Did I ever mention that Scott LOVES lighting fireworks? He is truly ecstatic about putting on a firework display. So I say to myself, at least it's only twice a year and it is a cheaper hobby than golf. :)  He get's so giddy about it that I just have to smile and enjoy the show!

Sterling is officially potty trained! Yee-haw!!!! We let him pick out big boy underwear, and he has been doing great (knock on wood for me).

We went to a Family Fun Event sponsored by the Days of 47 program. The kids had a blast playing games and creating art projects at the State Fair Park.

Speaking of art, Makayla's favorite hobby is creating art. She enjoys drawing, painting, creating, sculpting play-doh, etc.  If anyone ever asks for a gift idea for her, I suggest art supplies. She can be found making cards and drawings at the kitchen table so often.

We went to a parade float preview party at the Expo Center.  The float I voted for won both the people's choice award and the children's choice award. Sweet float from Park City.

Marv and Vickie (Scott's parents) came home from their mission in Germany! And they finally got to meet Lincoln who was born THE DAY after they left! Funny how things work.  They did get to see us on Skype most weeks, but they actually got to hug him and it was a great reunion. Marv and Vickie worked with the young single adults over there (aka institute). They helped out with the finances and coordinated opening up new centers over the Europe area.  It's great to have them home!

 We went to dinner at a Mexican restaraunt called Paula's immediately after picking them up and when we came out, we were greeted with the most beautiful full rainbow I have ever seen in my entire life! I think it was a welcome home gift thanking Marv and Vickie for a job well done!  Too bad Scott's glitchy camera on his phone won't let me access the pictures. Darn it, they were spectacular.



We went back to Cedar City a week later for their homecoming and it was on my birthday. So for the first time ever, I celebrated my birthday down south.  Everyone was so kind and it was a great day!
