Makayla is 12!

Makayla turned 12 years old!  With the changes of the youth program, she got an extra 2 months out of young womens.  Makayla frosted this cake with her yw group.  She enjoys baking so much.  I don't mind as long as she cleans up the kitchen after.  She loves sewing, creating, doing anything crafty, and hanging out with her friends.  She has a new group of middle school friends that we refer to as the 'lunch bunch' since they eat lunch together.  They also swim and play games sometimes. She brings a bright light into our family.  Sometimes when I immaturely handle things not in the best way, she reminds me of the grand scheme of things and to keep calm.  Makayla is awesome and a good friend to all!  This pearl set was one of her gifts she got to crack open.

Makayla wanted her room redecorated for her birthday.  These are some before pics.

After pics.  Basically we pained her walls gray with a pink accent wall and got some new decor and a new bedspread.

I decorated her locker for school. Little did I know that her lunch bunch friends would too!  So there was even more things the next day.

School took up most of her day.

Then we went to Airborne where the kids had a ball!

After Olive Garden, we wrapped up the night by upwrapping her room decoration gifts.  Happy 12th Bithday Makayla! We love you!

February 2019

Started off with helping at the boys' school.

Worked on some puzzles!

New mattress and cat got snuggled.

Our 1st snow day was called and school was cancelled.  Coincidentally, our snow blower broke the same day and it took us literally 4 HOURS to shovel the driveway by hand.  Boo :(

Creativity came out with a fort and slime creation.

Cute cats lounged.

Scott turned 39 this year.  We went to "Aquaman" at the movie theater, which was an awesome movie.  Then we went to Famous Dave's for dinner.  Finally, home to open gifts and we got a kick out the spinning singing candle.  We appreciate Scott and how hard he works for us.

Valentine's Day was good.  We got ourselves an air fryer for a joint gift.  I helped a Lincoln's class party. Then we made fondue for dinner.  Scott and I got to go to a dinner Magic Show a few days later.  I gave him the tickets for his birthday.  It was a good show, but super slow on the the food courses.

Played at the arcade and pool.

Sterling got to participate in a Space Derby for scouts.  Sisters Kleven, Potter, and Tuiono put on a pretty fun event!

Kids mixed paint behind the counter.  And Lincoln brought home some work from school. "I really love my family.  my dad helps me do my homwork my mom helps me get drest my sis is rily nice and as so wen I am glome she cheers me up. my droter plays wit me." Lincoln has qualified for extra help with his written expression at school and is guided with his fine motor skills.  We hope he can get stronger with his writing and be successful.

And Makayla started her volleyball tournaments.  She was selected to be the 'Libero' for the season.  This means that she wears a contrasting colored jersey and defends in the back row exclusively. The boys were ornery after the 8 hour tournament plus 2 hours roundtrip commuting to Springville. At least they came to support their sister one time.
