September 2015

We started this month off with some school projects.

Sterling's favorites include:
  • camping
  • swimming
  • the color green
  • macaroni & cheese
  • playing with car toys, big and small
  • earning money to buy new toys, currently working towards a remote control boat
Makayla's favorites include:
  • our cats, plus her stuffed animal cats
  • flowers & plants
  • Lagoon rides
  • collecting fossils
  • family outings anywhere
  • loves cooking
Lincoln started Bengal Paw Preschool.  He looks forward to going.

Lincoln's favorites include:
  • the color yellow
  • playing ipad games
  • looking for pipes and drains
  • Tom & Jerry cartoons
  • Fly Guy books
  • going on cat hunts and petting our cats when he finds one

We attended Grandma Hebdon's 85th Birthday Cookie Bash.

Had to revisit the new splash park.

And played with more water balloons.

Took Lincoln for a picnic at Wheeler Farm.

Went back to the farm with cousin Phillip another day.

Helped a neighbor and found this cool old man barber shop.

Tried out Home Depot's project.  It was a little hard. I think we'll stick with Lowe's projects.

We made fire trucks at Lowe's.

Kayla entertained a snail for a few days.

We talked Grandma & Grandpa plus Danny & Dixie into going to Rocky Mountain Raceways with us.

We think the trailer demolition derby is the best event to watch all year.  The beater trailers drive in figure eights and intentionally smash each other down.  The last one running intact is the winner.  Very amusing indeed!

We had a good family outing to Fat Cats where we mini golfed, ate pizza, and bowled.

Makayla dominated the first game (with bumpers of course).

Then Scott got his game on!

The young women gifted me this sweet poster because I got released!  I am now a co-teacher with Scott in the Primary for CTR 6; Sterling's class.  I am enjoying my new calling! It's fun to be a teacher and not in charge of the sharing time like I was 6 years ago.  Plus I get to work with Scott.  It's also my first time being a primary teacher. :)

We enjoyed a nice dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse to celebrate Scott finishing the business taxes.

Went to cousin Rachel's baby blessing.  We love cousin time!

Grandpa Matt had a hip replacement.  He is doing better than expected and bounced back fast.

Played at Nickelmania!

Lincoln and I went on an awesome field trip to the zoo with his preschool.  We took Elsie, our friend from the ward.

Grandma Diane has started teaching Makayla piano lessons.  For her to share her talents is really neat, plus Makayla looks forward to the lessons and practices all week.

After being closed all summer for remodeling, our library is finally open again and we are thrilled! We have a good time attending their shows.  We've already been to a magic show, science show, and this reptile show.

On Smithsonian Day, we were able to score tickets to The Leonardo Museum and the Discovery Children's Museum.  We had a wonderful day at both!

The green screen was a favorite stop at the Leonardo.

The boys raced their cars.

And the fish kissed.  And that's our September memories.
