We had so much fun on our trip last year, that we decided to do it again. This time we invited both sets of parents to come along. My parents were way too busy with work, school, and tending baby Phillip, plus their new church callings in the special singles branch. But Scott's retired parents were more than happy to join us. We left Saturday, February 2nd in the early afternoon.
On our way to the airport.
Then we played at Disneyland and California Adventure for the next 5 days for the rest of our vacation.
The kids had fun in Toontown; Makayla would have played there all day if we had let her.
Scott really liked the Innoventions building. They have the latest technology there. They were playing a game where you bring cities electricity with the help of a hockey puck pushing virtual tokens.
This is Asimo, a robot that moves, funtions, and talks like a human. She can even walk up and down stairs!
My favorite ride was Space Mountain. I just love the roller coaster in the dark through stars.
Makayla's favorite ride was Tower of Terror. She loves the 13 story drop in the elevator.
Sterling's favorite ride was Pirates of the Carribean. We must have gone on that 5 times, but I failed to take a picture. Lincoln didn't care which ride he was on, but probably liked the Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters because it had a gun to hold and push buttons.
One night, we had fun riding the big Mickey ferris wheel.
For souveneirs, Makayla chose a Tinkerbell necklace with changeable charms and a Peter Pan playset. Sterling chose a Woody car that shoots pizzas and a matchbox Wally car and airplane. Lincoln loved a Cars book that has at least 10 sounds to push and a little airplane.
Cute kids!
The weather was cooperative. We never did get rained on although the day we went home, on Friday February 8th, it was a complete downpour. The temperature ranged from 60s to 70s during the day and the evenings were probably 50s. This time of year is awesome because it's the least crowded at both parks. Scott and I wore pedometers and they measured us walking anywhere from 6 to 8 miles daily! Makayla was a trooper, she never got tired or complained, very impressive! The boys had stroller rides, which were a helpful place to take naps for them, so the adults and Makayla could catch some rides for older people. Our kids are 46", 35.5", and 32" this time, which means they grew 2" since last year. Would I invite parents again to come? Sure. They were a great help watching the kids and pushing strollers. They were very easy-going. Would I go again next year to Disneyland? Probably, it's a blast, and a great getaway, especially in the winter!

Glad you guys had a great time at "the happiest place on earth!" They don't call it that for no reason- it looked super fun.
Sounds like fun!
