December 2021

We decked our yard and helped with a hot chocolate ward activity.

Found some cute cats and sent Aunt Lisa some birthday gifts.

We hired Rico to skin our palm trees and trim the branches in the front.  They look much cleaner now.

These boys took a hike.

Scott surprised us with a new touchscreen game system.  Too bad the guy that sent it was a scammer. He had all the details ironed out so that it came pre-damaged and he would not be liable for one cent.  Also, FedEx refused to chip in.  So we were left high and dry with an impossible machine due to the scammer.  We live and learn.

Finalized ward council gifts and neighbor gifts.

Miss Makayla had the spotlight with a guitar performance at school. Princess loves her too.

Silly boys.

Got some yummy food and gave out Christmas dinners from the church.

The ward party was beautifully displayed.  It turned out decent.

Lincoln enjoyed creating a candy house with activity days group and a school sock day.

Decorated the tree and the naughty cats soiled the tree skirt.

Maisy's family came to town and we had a good time hanging out.  A highlight was eating at Hash House a Go Go.  She also taught us how to make Grandma B's toffee.

There was a stark difference between the desert weather here and the Russian weather from Barrek's mission.

Our fun neighbors, the Theodores, festively decorated and gifted us a nice puzzle nativity.

Christmas Eve festivities included a breakfast with Scott's family, a fruit pizza, personal pizzas, cookies, jammies, and excitement. The kids handmade some gifts.

Everyone had a great time on Christmas morning. Makayla specifically wanted a volleyball and some Doc Marten sandals.  Sterling hoped for Legos and some Nerf guns as did Lincoln; who also wanted Lego machines that can move.

Later in the afternoon, we encouraged the kids to come upstairs to the rooster's nest.  Boy, were they surprised to see some gaming computers, chairs, and desks. Their reaction was priceless!

Everyone had a nice time.  The boys played with a matchbox carwash, we built some furniture, and I enjoyed my new cabbage patches; a crimp & curl one and a birthday kid.

Links and I visited the festive park when the rest of the bunch went to mutual.

Enjoyed the cards displayed on the door.

And we hosted New Years Eve and Vickie's birthday celebration with Scott's family.  Something neat was that Scott Perkins brought his girlfriend Laura and her two kids, Mason and Hunter.  It was good getting to know them more.  Happy New Year 2022!!
