April 2018

April was quite the month.  From my dad retiring, to Scott's dad turning 70, to Christie moving through the veil, it is a month to remember.  The kids made a cat birthday cake for Rosco and played outside at the park and flew helicopters.

Mak made some crafts to sell at school.

Lagoon and Cherry Hill opened up!

My dad retired from Hexcel after nearly 35 years! We had a dinner party for him.

Enjoyed time with Mom and Shara.

Scott took a quick business trip to Chicago to meet with Encyclopedia Britannica.

Took a spontaneous trip to Cedar City to celebrate Marv's 70th birthday!  We spent time visiting, at IHop, and playing Guesstures.

This was the last photo of Christie that I took before she passed away 5 days later.  This was a very tender moment.  She thanked her dad for being the best dad he could ever be.  To be there in the same room with their sweet conversation was extra special.

Watched Sterling do a skit with his class and went to Clark Planetarium on a field trip too.

Makayla participated in the story weaver contest and told the story of "The Little Red Hen" and actually won the first round.  The second round she opted to miss to celebrate Grandpa Marv's birthday.

Mr. Anderson, the principal, slept overnight on the roof because the school did well on their chocolate bar fundraiser.

Took Mom & Dad out to Rodizio Grill to celebrate Dad's retirement.

 Makayla graduated the DARE program.

Ended the month with attending the Jordan River Temple open house.
