March 2016

 We started this month off right with a trip to the Provo City Center Temple open house.

We checked the kids out of school early and enjoyed the tour.  The church released some last minute tickets which we were grateful for.

We brought a change of clothes and  played at Springville Nickelmania afterward.

And visited Krispy Kreme donuts in Orem before heading home.

Makayla and I went to the Provo Temple dedication a week or so later; her first one! She said she loved the feeling in the meeting.

We made it to the dentist for a checkup and cleaning.  Lincoln was cavity free and the others had one or two.  I was nervous for them since we hadn't been in awhile and relieved when it was minimal repairs.


Other happenings this month:

We built wagons at Home Depot.

Went to a fun Hebdon St. Patty's scavenger hunt party.  Dave & Carlene's family always does it well.

We had a good St. Patrick's day.

And enjoyed some delicious corned beef and cabbage.

Makayla grew some 'coral' with her science kit.

And snuggled the kitties.

This girl likes art projects.  She also made her own terrarium.

And she earned a bee hat for selling candy bars for her school's computers.

We enjoyed the weather when it was warm.  Welcome to Utah where it's all 4 seasons in 1 week.

We tried to grow hair longer and style it different, but we agreed we like it short and spiky instead.

Went to a bird show at the library.

We dyed our eggs.

Lincoln and I hid eggs and candy for the 1st grade to find.  This was really fun!

The city egg hunt was a blast like always.

We visited the bunny at Grandma Bjarnson's retirement center.

And enjoyed a super egg hunt too.

Makayla gave the Easter bunny a candle gift and he opened and left it for her along with some candy surprises.

We had a nice Easter holiday.

And had dinner and another egg hunt at Grandma Diane's.

Poor Ben got an eye infection that messed up his eye.  Thankfully he's all better now.

We went to cousin Phillip's birthday party.

This was a very sad funeral!  Our sister-in-law Candalyn's brother Kyle, only 23, took his life.  It was completely unexpected as he was a newlywed of 7 months, married in the Manti Temple.  The funeral was in Beaver, Utah.  His mission president spoke and said Kyle was a fantastic missionary; just the perfect example and always serving.  He was a zone leader, district leader, and he trained a few missionaries.  He loved his nieces and nephews and played xbox and basketball with them.  We love the Goodwins and are sad that they have had to go through this unexpected trial.

And this curious cloud lingered above the mountains.
